Creating art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.  Textiles and sewing were always my passion, I co-founded a clothes making business in my early 20's and fabrics still have an important place in my work today,

My love for painting came a few years later with a desire to express my thoughts and feelings in paint.  Early works were filled with text and line drawings, although I wasn't familiar with intuitive painting at that time, I instinctively knew that I was finding my direction.

My work is created through layers of paint, collage and textiles, returning to hand embroidery when I want to slow things down. Inspiration still stems from an intuitive place, my ideas are drawn from life and my experiences within it, these are conveyed through text, gestural marks and abstracted shapes.

Based on the east coast of Essex (UK), I can usually be found working in my home studio with my 2 cats.
